    Cleo George Qualls, age 93, of Mount Ida, AR, passed away November 5, 2016 in Hot Springs, AR. He was born February 22, 1923 in Story, AR. Cleo worked for the Arkansas Highway Department for over 30 years before retiring. He was preceded in death by his parents: Orville and Lura Qualls, his siblings, Winnie Jahay, Geraldine Pendergrass, Rutha Potter, Boyd Qualls, Wendell Qualls and Laintus Qualls.

    He is survived by his wife Eula Mae (Summitt) Qualls of 65 years of marriage: daughters, Cathy (Bill) High and Sharon Sims. Two grandchildren: Shauna (Andy) Worley and Jeremy (Mary Jane) Sims, two step- grandchildren: Courtney High Butler and Bobby Sims Jr., five step great- grandchildren: Will, Cole, Felisha and Miller Butler, and Blake Sims. Two sisters: Ellastine Spurling of Oden, AR and Jenette Godwin of Story, AR.

    A funeral service will be held Wednesday, November 9, 2016, at 2:00 p.m. at the Lone Valley Church of God in Sims, AR with Brother Bud Wilburn officiating. Burial will be at the Barber Cemetery in Sims, AR. Pallbearers: Carl Jay Potter, Tommy Godwin, John Spurling, Bruce Spurling, Ricky Qualls, Timmy Qualls, Teddy Qualls, and Thomas Qualls. Honorary Pallbearers: Russell Pendergrass, Randy Pendergrass, Gary Godwin, Terry Godwin and Albert Jahay.

    He leaves a host of beloved family and friends.

    We would like to extend a special thank you to the staff of the Montgomery County Assisted Living in Mount Ida for all the great care you have given him during the last five years of his life. He loved you all!!!

    Uncle Cleo you will missed!! I always enjoyed going down with grandma Mabry to visit y'all. Childhood memories I love. I love you and will miss you !! God bless to family and prayers to you all!
